Step 2 of 3: Install Theme
You should now be looking at your new WordPress dashboard. From the left-hand menu, hover over Appearance and select Themes. From here, click the Add New Theme button at the top.
Need to decide on a theme?
1. Install your theme
For the purpose of this guide, I am installing the Astra free theme.
Select the Install button next to the theme you want and then once installed, select Activate.
From here, select Let's Get Started With Starter Templates.
Astra has a cool AI-powered feature for creating your new website, or choose the standard way and pick a template.
Once your template has been chosen, click View Website to see your new theme in action.
Depending on the template chosen, Astra also adds new pages to your website automatically like home, contact, about, and services.
From your dashboard, navigate to Pages to change the content on these pages.
That's it! Your theme is installed. Now, let's make it accessible at your domain.
